Executive Committee 2011/2012

We are the Executive Committee for 2011 to 2012! We help maintain the general operations of the club and bring you the best Finance events at Simon Fraser University.

Melissa Chiew :: President

Melissa is a fourth year Economics student at SFU and graduating in April 2012. She has a strong passion for finance. As President, she hopes to gain leadership skills and provide students with an opportunity to connect with the finance industry in Vancouver. She also hopes to spread awareness of the CFA designation and help students achieve their goals. On her free time she loves groupon, especially the restaurant groupons. She is excited for the 2011 and 2012 year and if you see her on the street, stop and say hi.

Jayme Yuen :: Vice President Internal

As a first year student, Jayme Yuen finds finance interesting and fun. She is hoping to concentrate in Finance and complete her CFA designation after graduation in 2014. One of her electives include Earth Science in which she is hoping to minor in, her favorite topic is land slides. Her role as Vice President of Internal gives her the opportunity to spread the word of the finance industry to first and second year students and to get them involved as soon as possible. Jayme believes that "its always best to start early." Jayme is also interested in organizing social events such as BBQ's and pub nights, look out for her emails. When she has free time she works at Starbucks and loves bubble tea in Richmond.

Constantine Khvostov :: Vice President External

Constantine Khvostov is a second year SFU Beedie student and has a passion for Finance. He recently came from the Ukranie in 2008. Constantine loves reading books on finance, one of his favourite books include Jeff Rubin's ""Why Your World is About to Get a Whole Lot Smaller." Constantine used to work as a sales associate in one of the major telecommunications company, where he was awarded top sales for the month. Watch out, his techniques are good and he might try to sell you something. On his free time, Constantine loves watching movies with his friends, one of his favourite movies include, "The Hangover." Lastly, one of his major goals for the Finance Club is to create a medium between industry professionals and students looking to gain advice on the working world.

Eben Saputra :: Vice President Finance

Eben Haezer Saputra is a third year student at SFU Beedie School of Business. He is currently pursuing a joint major in Business, at which he is concentrating in Finance, and Economics. Little known fact, he wanted to become a doctor back in high school, until a conversation with his dad about banking and the stock market sparked his interest in finance. His motto is "get things right and get things done." As Vice President of Finance, Eben will work hard to be responsible for budgeting and financial reporting of all our major events and projects. He looks forward to working with the SFU Finance Club.

Gwendoline Wong :: Vice President Communications

Gwendoline Wong is a second year student at Beedie School of Business hoping to concentrate in Finance and Marketing and is still very indecisive as to which minor she should pursue, history or Interactive Arts and Technology. She is an avid tweeter and a graphic design enthusiast. She is a spontaneous individual.
